Small fire inside 461 Dean modular building draws significant response; no injuries reported

Go here for the developer's explanation.

Neighbors of the troubled 461 Dean (aka B2) modular building were alarmed this morning to see numerous fire trucks outside the building, less than three days after a spark at a crane alarmed neighbors and led to a violation being imposed by the Department of Buildings.

(A resident counted at least six fire trucks, plus a couple of ambulances, and said Flatbush Avenue was shut down temporarily.)

A Fire Department of New York spokesman called it a "small fire" on the seventh floor, with no injuries or evacuation. So the workers in the photo below may come from the adjacent B3, or another site.

The call was received at 8:32 am, and it was placed under control by 9:10 a.m. FDNY has no information on the cause of the fire, which may not be determined immediately. (I didn't ask, nor was told about property damage.)
