From the latest Construction Update: new MPT barriers expected along Atlantic Avenue (to Vanderbilt?)

According to the latest two-week Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park Construction Update (bottom), covering the two weeks beginning Monday June 6 and released yesterday by Empire State Development at 3:34 pm (way late) after preparation by Greenland Forest City Partners, new barriers for MPT (maintenance and protection of traffic) is expected along Atlantic Avenue outside the project site.

The details and contours were not explained, but it involves mobilization of equipment along Atlantic from the existing MPT to Carlton Avenue, which suggests it will extend to Vanderbilt Avenue. (Note that Empire State Development, as far as I can tell, merely forwards the document as prepared rather than asks questions to clarify murkiness.)

It is all pending Department of Transportation approval. A community notice will be issued.

Also, there will be late shift, Saturday, and overnight work. Saturday work is expected at B2, at the corner of Flatbush Avenue and Dean Street, as well as other sites, including B3 (38 Sixth Avenue), B11 (550 Vanderbilt Avenue), B12 (615 Dean Street), and B14 (535 Carlton Avenue).

Second-shift work is also expected at B2.

Weekend electrical utility work will continue at the LIRR rail yard, and demolition of the LIRR tunnel should continue on weekends, continuous from Friday night through Sunday morning.

Also, as mentioned separately, Con Ed work is closing  Dean Street between Carlton and Vanderbilt avenues weekdays 8 am to 3:30 pm through June 15.

Also. demolition at Block 1120--the buildings encroaching on the railyard at Atlantic Avenue between Sixth and Carlton avenues--could commence upon receipt of appropriate permits.
