Sixth Avenue between Atlantic/Pacific to be closed for seven nights starting Thursday, then more than six full days later in May
According to a COMMUNITY NOTICE issued today by Pacific Park Brooklyn, utility work--part of the West Portal construction for Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park--will require Sixth Avenue between Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Street to be closed for seven weeknights starting Thursday, May 14, as well as more than six days.
(This updates and contradicts the notice earlier today that said the work would start Wednesday, May 13.)
These closures will be in effect during the following times:
Over all these times, crosswalks along Atlantic Avenue at/from S. Portland Avenue will be closed. There will be Traffic Enforcement Agents, flaggers, and Variable Message Signs.
Note that the two-week Construction Update issued today did not specify the length of the nightly closures. The previous Update noted five-six nights; now we know it should be seven nights.

- Nightly Closures (10 PM to 6 AM) - Thursday, May 14th to Friday, May 22nd
- Continuous Closure - 7 AM, Tuesday, May 26th through 5 AM, June 1st
