WSJ: Is It a Problem That Sports Gets Fast Test Results and You Don’t? (Answer: Kinda)

Is It a Problem That Sports Gets Fast Test Results and You Don’t?, the Wall Street Journal wrote 7/16/20, citing the ability of baseball and basketball leagues to not just get tested for the coronavirus but, compared to others, to get quick laboratory turnarounds.

While BioReference CEO Jon] Cohen told the newspaper that the number of tests his company conducts for the NBA is "minimal," still, the players are tested daily, while many health care workers are not. From the article:
The NBA might not directly help anyone by testing less. But it's potentially difficult for leagues to explain that they have created an effective, private channel to secure thousands of tests with guaranteed results within 24 hours while drawing from the same limited set of testing materials as everyone else.
