German sneaker retailer Snipes opening on Flatbush Avenue, next to Chick-fil-A, opposite Barclays Center

Well, Chick-fil-A and Shake Shack, high-volume fast-food places on Flatbush Avenue opposite the Barclays Center, are getting a new neighbor this coming Thursday, a sneaker retailer with a facade that wraps around a piece of Pacific Street.

Snipes to Open First U.S. 2.0 Concept at Barclays Center, the fashion publication WWD reported 7/1/20:
Snipes is bringing its 2.0 concept store Stateside.
The German sneaker retailer will open its updated store concept at 161 Flatbush Avenue across from Barclays Center in Brooklyn on July 9. The Downtown Brooklyn location will be more apparel driven than its classic concept that focused on sneakers, and it will be totally paperless with 17 LED screens for brands to tell stories supporting their products.
As reported by WWD, the store was initially planned to open in March, but was delayed by the pandemic. The owners expect synergy with the arena. Here's more on Snipes.

DJ Khaled, Snipes's chief creative officer, will raffle off prizes virtually, and "appear on a truck LED screen outside" the store.

Snipes has nearly 400 stories globally, with 94 in the U.S., of which 76 are now open. According to WWD, Snipes "plans to add 10 new stores this year and convert more existing stores into 2.0 locations."
