Barclays Center event calendar for July released: seven days of events, nine shows (discounts for Cirque du Soleil)

So, what's going on at the arena this month? The Barclays Center yesterday belatedly released the July event calendar (it's supposed to come out in the weeks beforehand), which includes one concert (Further), a wrestling event, and five days of family shows, encompassing seven Cirque du Soleil performances.

No full houses

None of the events are expected to come close to selling out the arena, with only 4000 people estimated for each family show.

High prices for that family show--starting at $59.15, involving a $45 ticket and $14.15 in fees--may be why the arena yesterday sent out a message:
Celebrate 4th of July in style with a special offer fromCirque du Soleil. Enjoy $25 off Price Level 2 and Price Level 3 tickets*. Available for 24 hours only!

That means that neither the cheap seats nor the most expensive seats get a discount, but that the $89 seats would cost $64 plus fees, and the $65 seats would cost $40 plus fees, which indeed would be slightly less than the cheap seats.

Note that the July calendar does not include arena events that are not open to ticket-buyers, such as the July 2 graduation ceremony for the Police Academy, which followed a similar ceremony on 12/28/12.

The June calendar

Here's the June calendar, which did not include arena events that are not open to ticket-buyers, such as the Brooklyn Hospital Foundation Founders Ball, on June 12 or the Brooklyn Tech graduation on June 21.
