Forget the Haier store; instead, a Sugar Factory is coming to the east end of the arena

As the famed Atlantic Yards philosopher Jim Stuckey once observed, "Projects change, markets change."

So if anyone wondered why the arena was to include the "Haier Experience Store"--an appliance showroom--at the eastern end, directly at the extension of Pacific Street--well, wait no longer.

There won't be a Haier store. (Did that sponsorship go pfft?)

Instead, coming soon, there will be a Sugar Factory, expanding from Vegase. It's rather more likely to inspire impulse purchases.

Oh, what's Sugar Factory?

According to its website:
Sugar Factory’s signature Couture Pop collections have already hit the red carpets in the hands of celebrities at major events in Miami, Los Angeles, New York City and Las Vegas. Sugar Factory has become a colossal hit across the country and the world – offering everyone a sweet escape.
The Sugar Factory is an ever-expanding sweet spot, featuring:
  • OUR AMAZING ONLINE STORE AT SUGARFACTORY.COM.
  • OUR INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS RESTAURANT, SUGAR FACTORY AMERICAN BRASSERIE, ALWAYS OPEN AND LOCATED IN THE HEART OF THE LAS VEGAS STRIP.
  • OUR UNIQUE RETAIL LOCATIONS AT PARIS LAS VEGAS HOTEL, MIRACLE MILE SHOPS AT PLANET HOLLYWOOD, AND THE MIRAGE RESORT & CASINO.
