I had to laugh yesterday when I saw various editions of this week's Courier-Life paper.A front page standalone photo promoted an "exclusive" look (on p. 4) into the lives of two Nets dancers who've moved to Brooklyn "respectively to pursue dance careers. The two talented ladies say they love their new home borough and can't wait for the team to relocate to Brooklyn." (Click to enlarge graphics.)
Well, their commute would be so much shorter. Then again, there are 16 2008-09 Nets Dancers and a bunch are from New Jersey and Staten Island.
Then again, it is a slow week for news.
In the Brooklyn Paper
Maybe that was the reason that, during Thanksgiving Week, the Brooklyn Paper (perhaps anticipating it would never get that Nets Dancers scoop), ran an article about the baby born to Develop Don't Destroy Brooklyn spokesman Daniel Goldstein and his wife Shabnam Merchant.Yes, arguably it was worth coverage, given the 50% increase in the inhabitants of their Atlantic Yards footprint building. But the front page? With a baby photo that big?
Must've been another slow week for news.
Then again, it's a slow news day for me, too.
