AY Watch: railyard lights on for five days "to accomodate snow removal and icy conditions"

According to reports on Atlantic Yards Watch, lights at the Vanderbilt Yard were left on from Thursday, 1/2/14 through Monday 1/6/14. For example:
AYW has received a complaint by email about the rail yard lights which were left on through the weekend. The resident of 700 Pacific Street complains the lights flood her bedroom with light. She states the lights have been left on "full blast through the night even when there is no work going on."
Another report:
According to a second resident's complaint forwarded AYW about the lights on the rail yard, they have been left on since Thursday. This resident has a three year old child they say has been kept up. The lights have been left on 24/7.
Then, the explanation. According to the LIRR, "The lights were turned on for safety to accomodate snow removal and icy conditions in the yard. They were turned off at 11:30 AM today."
