As noted on Atlantic Yards Watch, this morning, for more than [updated] two hours, two 18-wheel tractor trailers apparently delivering steel to the Atlantic Yards construction site were idling in a red No Standing zone on Pacific Street east of Sixth Avenue, very near a residential building.
This of course, is not supposed to happen. Trucks are supposed to be staged in the Navy Yard and/or Pacific Street between Carlton and Vanderbilt, not a residential block. When the arena was being built, the violations of construction protocols were even more rampant.
