After all, father Jay-Z is expected by many to open the Barclays Center in August or September 2012 with a series of concerts, much in the way--but way bigger--that Jon Bon Jovi opened the Prudential Center in Newark.
The cartoon video below sketches an imaginary conversation between Nets Sports & Entertainment CEO Brett Yormark and Nets p.r. guy Barry Baum. Note that the Xtranormal Movie Maker software provides only a set number of accents, and there is only one variant of "American English Male."
So allow a little artistic license and imagine Baum, for the purposes of contrast, to have a British accent. (Memo to Xtranormal: please add a bunch of variants of the "American English Male" accent.)

Plotting Jay-Z's Barclays Center Debut

Making predictions
As indicated in the video, I'd bet that Jay-Z gets on stage wearing a "Brooklyn Nets" ballcap and name-checks the Nets in a lyric.
As to whether Beyoncé does a guest spot and brings out the baby, well, that's more of a longshot.
What about naming the kid "Barclays" or even "Brooke Lynne"? Unlikely.
But I'm sure someone's thinking about how best to milk Jay-Z's appearance.
