Barclays Center releases March 2022 calendar: first robust month since COVID-19, with seven concerts (Elton John tonight) and ACC basketball tourney
The Barclays Center is back, kind of, since this month will be the first month with a reasonable calendar of non-NBA games since the coronavirus crisis surfaced two years ago.
The March 2022 calendar, released yesterday to neighbors, has 24 ticketed events over 22 days: eight Nets games, seven Atlantic 10 men's basketball games over five days, seven concerts, one comedy event, and one wrestling event.
The first of two Elton John concerts is tonight. Later in the month are Tame Impala, Bad Bunny, and Maxwell.
As I wrote, the March 2020 calendar had 24 ticketed events over 22 days: nine Nets games, seven Atlantic 10 men's basketball games over five days, three New York Islanders games, three concerts, one boxing event, one wrestling event.
That, of course, didn't last. Two weeks later, mass gatherings were banned by the Governor, given the coronavirus crisis.
