Well, an Atlantic Yards lobbyist, and a booster, will have the ear of mayor-in-waiting Eric Adams.

It is sad and disappointing that Eric Adams did not use this opportunity to clearly prove he will be different than other Mayors. Adams does not need to raise any additional campaign funds none at all his election by a landslide in November's is absolutely assured.
So what is Adams doing. If anything he is more aggressively raising large donations from the rich and the powerful and lobbyists and influence peddlers in New York City and far beyond than any candidate for Mayor before him. He is clearly positioning himself as the candidate of the rich and powerful no matter how much he may deny it.
Adams campaign for mayor has become little more than a fund raising campaign. The irony is Adams would have most impressed the rich and the powerful and all New Yorkers if he told the rich and powerful he did not need or want their money.
And telling them telling them I am making it clear I will be the Mayor for all New Yorkers. You will get my attention as Mayor if you deserve it as much as every other New Yorker not because of the size of your campaign checks.
What would be the result if he had done so. The largest and most impressive election landslide victory in New York City history. That was the way for Adams to set the stage if Adams goal is to be a great mayor and far better than those before him.
Instead Adams is in effect and by his actions is telling everyone write my a big campaign check. I won't forget you !
