Belatedly, ESD/TF Cornerstone announce plans for work to install sidewalk shed on Dean Street starting next Tuesday.

OK, now they tell us.

This afternoon, nearly a day after concerns were raised at a public meeting, Empire State Development circulated (developer-prepared) notice about work starting Tuesday, July 20 to install a sidewalk shed on the northern portion of Dean Street adjacent to the B12/B13 construction site between Carltona and Vanderbilt avenues.

As stated, the work should last about eight business days. It will temporarily disallow parking on the northern portion of Dean Street adjacent to the site on July 20 and July 21.

On or around July 28, there will be a temporary displacement of approximately four parking spots on the eastern side of the Dean Street site frontage for sidewalk shed installation purposes.

What's odd about this is why it wasn't in the two-week look-ahead Construction Update and why representatives of ESD and developer TF Cornerstone weren't informed.
