Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park infographics: what's built/what's coming/what's missing, who's responsible, + project FAQ/timeline (pinned post)

From the latest Construction Update: crane installation (rescheduled to) next weekend at B12/B13 site; open space at 550 Vanderbilt closed June 7 for two weeks; after-hours work (6 am start) again omitted

The latest Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park Construction Update (bottom), covering the two weeks beginning May 31 (yes, they work Monday, though it's a holiday), was circulated yesterday at 1:45 pm (lead time) by Empire State Development (ESD) after preparation by Greenland Forest City Partners.

One main contrast with the previous Update regarding expected work: at the B12/B13 site on the southeast block of the project, between Carlton and Vanderbilt avenues, "East Tower crane set up and installation scheduled for Saturday, June 5, 2021 and Sunday, June 6, 2021. Tower crane will be set up from Pacific Street and access to Pacific Street will be limited due to crane operations."

Unmentioned: this had already been scheduled for last weekend, May 22-23, but didn't happen.

Another new piece of work, at the long-completed 550 Vanderbilt (aka B11): "Exterior inspection on the west elevation will be performed using hanging scaffold from the roof. B11 open space will be closed to the public starting June 7 and lasting for two weeks."

And, as in the previous Update, the document neglects to inform recipients that there is after-hours weekday work at the B12/B13 site, starting at 6 am, as shown in the screenshot at right.

This is simply a dereliction of duty. Also note: the stated reason is "public safety," but it's really for schedule maintenance.

After-hours work continues

Regarding after-hours work at B4 (18 Sixth Ave.), the Construction Update accurately lists weekday work 5 am to 10 pm and Saturday work 9 am to 5 pm. It also lists Sunday work 9 am to 5 pm but there's no after-hours variance yet.

Regarding after-hours work at B15 (662 Pacific St.), the document accurately cites weekday work 6 am to 10 pm and Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm.

Regarding after-hours work at B12 & B13 (615 Dean St. and 595 Dean St.), the document states, as shown in the screenshot at left, "Saturday work will continue during this reporting period."

No time is cited, and no variance is yet available, but work 7 am to 3:30 pm took place on five of the last six previous Saturdays.

As noted above, the document--see the bottom of the first page, as shown in the screenshot at left--again fails to acknowledge before-hours weekday work, starting at 6 am, as shown in the screenshot above right.
