Late night work starting tonight, at Sixth Avenue Access Ramp to LIRR railyard, will last until 11 pm four nights (and include a light tower)
At 5:01 pm today, Empire State Development sent supplemental construction alert regarding late night work starting today, likely lasting four nights, to clean and weatherize the Sixth Avenue Access Ramp, between Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Street, which serves the Long Island Rail Road's Vanderbilt Yard.
The work started at 3 pm and will last until approximately 11 pm. A "light tower will be used in support of this work," the notice says, which means it could be bright.
