Brooklyn celebrates announced Biden-Harris victory, with crowds at Barclays (and many other places); arena oculus: "E Pluribus Unum"
Once the election was called yesterday for Democrats Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, blue-leaning areas of the city erupted in celebration, with many already out on an unseasonably warm day.
Given the variety of locations, including Prospect Park, Grand Army Plaza, Fort Greene, and McCarren Park, Barclays Center was by no means the only focal point, but, yes, it was a significant gathering place.
And arena operators, wisely remembering that non-commercial messages (like the Martin Luther King, Jr. quote and the exhortation to vote) are better uses for the oculus in such times, put up "E Pluribus Unum," as seen below.
