Barclays Center releases January 2022 calendar: 17 ticketed events over 13 days

The Barclays Center yesterday released its January 2022 event calendar, with 17 events.

The schedule includes eight Brooklyn Nets games and nine Disney on Ice performances, the latter over five days. The January 1 game on the list, of course, had already been completed.

Note that there will "be amplified sound on the SeatGeek Plaza" on Friday, associated with the game, though the time frame isn't specified.

The document, actually, is inaccurate, since the game this Sunday, Jan. 9, has been shifted to noon so the team can leave early for a West Coast make-up game.
Several make-up games were announced yesterday, after games were postponed for COVID-19 roster reasons.

Also note that, while the image above says the Jan. 26 game is versus the Toronto Raptoers, it's actually against the Denver Nuggets.

In January 2020

I'm not comparing this month to January 2021, because that was during the pandemic shutdown, but it's worth looking at the January 2020 event calendar.

As I wrote, there were 13 events, similar to the 14 events in January 2019 but a step back from the 20 events in both January 2018 and January 2017.

Those previous years included more games with the then-tenant New York Islanders hockey team.

Two years ago I noted that the calendar failed to list non-ticketed private events. The most recent calendars haven't listed them either, but it's unclear how many have resumed, if at all.
