From the latest Construction Update: potentially noisy overnight work in weekend after next

The latest Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park Construction Update (bottom), covering the two weeks beginning Monday, Oct. 1 was circulated at 3:13 pm yesterday (late) by Empire State Development (ESD) after preparation by Greenland Forest City Partners.

There are a few changes from the previous update, notably overnight work on the weekend after next:
LIRR is expected to undergo a 55-hour work shift on weekend of 10/13/18 – 10/14/18 for the purpose of bringing their Signal systems online. All work will be in the Yard. The LIRR may be staging work trucks in the B12 site. If staging in this area is necessary, truck idling and noise mitigation will be followed by LIRR Staff.
Um, the meaning of "truck idling and noise mitigation will be followed by LIRR Staff" is unclear. Noise mitigation might be implemented, I suppose, but truck idling should not so much be "followed" as "limited." That B12 site on the southeast block of the project site is next to and across the street from residences.

As in many previous updates, weekend (daytime) electrical utility installations are expected to continue in the railyard and in the tunnel.

A demolition begins?

The erection of scaffolding will continue on 728 Atlantic and 700 Atlantic--the two building on Block 1120 that "bump" into the railyard from Atlantic Avenue--will continue during this reporting period.

And demolition of those buildings--promised as a possibility more than two years ago--may begin during these two weeks.

At the railyard

At the railyard, various "manhole installations, duct bank installations, and cable pulling operations" will be joined by asphalt installations. Removal of the temporary site construction ramp on Pacific Street will continue, while Vehicular access into and out of the site will be through the new 6th Avenue Access Ramp.

At the towers

Tenant fit out work in ground floor retail space will be ongoing at B14 (535 Carlton Avenue), while it may begin at B11 (550 Vanderbilt Avenue).
