Next Quality of Life meeting postponed from Oct. 18 to Nov. 7 (and now Nov. 1)

This meeting has been rescheduled to Nov. 1.

OK, this was predictable. A message from Empire State Development on Friday: "We are rescheduling the October 18th Atlantic Yards aka Pacific Park Brooklyn Quality of Life Community Meeting."

The meeting will be held Monday, November 7 at 6 pm:
Shirley Chisholm State Office Building
55 Hanson Place, 1st Floor Conference Room
Brooklyn NY 11217
That is a day before the election, so some people may be distracted.

And it's about a week before the scheduled Nov. 15 meeting of the advisory Atlantic Yards Community Development Corporation (AY CDC), at which state officials will report on community outreach, among other issues.

The reason this was predictable, in that the August "Quality of Life Community Update" meeting was postponed to September 13, and state/city officials and developer Greenland Forest City Partners surely didn't want another meeting in little more than a month.

Let's see if the seemingly bimonthly schedule is kept, and the next meeting is held in early January Dec. 13 as scheduled. Or perhaps the schedule will drift again.
