Marty Markowitz's holiday card: "Brooklyn is a Winter Wonderland" (thanks to the Barclays Center)

Borough President Marty Markowitz is known for his clever, topical holiday cards, and this year's continues the theme

The cover (below) features a highly stylized version of the Barclays Center, with locals crowding the bandbox basketball court. There's no corporate branding (sans Barclays) to be seen.

The message, to the tune of "Walking in a Winter Wonderland," includes:

Barclays here, Streisand's belting
Fans will cheer, hearts are melting
The Nets & Jay-Z, what a team they will be
Brooklyn is a Winter Wonderland 

New hotels, business booming
Mazel Tov, Brooklyn's blooming
The Islanders play in Barclays one day
Brooklyn is a Winter Wonderland

Markowitz does mention Sandy, but, ever upbeat, asserts, "we'll never quit."
