Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park FAQ, timeline, and infographics (pinned post)

Agenda for Thursday's Atlantic Yards Community Development Corp. meeting is typically opaque. What about the railyard sites? Site 5? The arena plaza?

As I anticipated (see link), the Agenda for Thursday's meeting of the Atlantic Yards Community Development Corporation, as shown at right, is notably uninformative, with the item "Updates and Follow-Ups" potentially covering a significant range of key information.

That likely includes pending negotiations by the parent Empire State Development (ESD), the state authority that oversees/shepherds the project, with Related Companies, which seeks to develop six railyard sites in foreclosure.

When Board Materials are posted here, we might get more of a clue, but often they just include past meeting Minutes.

Note that the Agenda for the meeting last month did say "Platform Site Update," likely involving the incoming role of Related (and possible concessions), but that was in Executive Session.

What else?

Beyond the massive issue of the six development sites over the railyard, other follow-ups might surface.

What about Site 5, catercorner to the arena plaza? ESD seems ready to support a shift of bulk from the unbuilt flagship tower once planned to loom over the arena.

The current status of the project. See below for proposed plans.

If that enormous gift to current developer Greenland USA goes through, what reciprocal public benefits are planned? Is Greenland even involved, or would they partner with another developer (like Related) or simply sell to Related?

If so, what happens to the "temporary" arena plaza, currently sponsored by Ticketmaster? Is it simply leased permanently to the arena operator, currently Joe Tsai (and the Koch family), without any reciprocity? Why shouldn't Tsai, as I've argued, pay for the privilege?
