From the latest Construction Update: still failing to acknowledge after-hours weekday work starting at 5 am and lasting until 10 pm
Again, as noted multiple times, including my pointed comment at last week's Atlantic Yards Community Development Corporation (AY CDC) meeting, the Construction Update continues to misleadingly under-describe the after-hours Variances (AHVs) available at the site, including weekday work starting at 5 am and lasting until 10 pm.
Construction progress
At B4 (18 Sixth Ave.), the concrete superstructure program has progressed through the 50th floor. Previously it was the 48th.
After-hours work
- In addition, there is an After-Hours Variance in place for all work from 6 pm – 9 pm and for Deliveries, Garbage Removal, Hoist and Crane Operation from 6 am until 7 am.
- Saturday permits when received, are for all work starting at 9 am until 5 pm.
Saturday work at B12/B13
At the B12/B13 sites (615 Dean St. and 595 Dean St.), there are now times (as I previously wrote, though not disclosed in the previous update) associated with previously announced Saturday work:
Excavation and Foundation work, including delivery of equipment and materials, removal of soil materials and installation of foundation materials including tie backs and lagging will continue during this reporting period. Appropriate dust and noise mitigation measures are in place for all activities. Saturday work from 9 AM until 3:30 PM may commence during this reporting period.
Note that there is not, as of now, an AHV for this Saturday, but there was one for last Saturday.
Also note
Compared with the previous update, there was no mention of work at the Long Island Rail Road's Vanderbilt Yard or at the B3 (18 Sixth Ave.) tower.
