Starting July 9, traffic changes near Vanderbilt and Atlantic avenues, lasting five weeks

According to a Community Notice circulated by the developer of Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park, a second phase of construction for the Vanderbilt Yard's East Portal, beginning Monday, July 9, will have several impacts, for some five weeks:

• the west and south crosswalks at Vanderbilt and Atlantic avenues will be closed
• the north crosswalk at Vanderbilt Avenue and Pacific Street will be closed
• the westbound B45 bus stop on Atlantic Avenue has been moved from the northwest corner of Vanderbilt Avenue to the northwest corner of Clermont Avenue
• no turns will be permitted from Atlantic Avenue to southbound Vanderbilt Avenue, so vehicles will be directed to detour down Washington Avenue and then Pacific Street
