Ok, the Barclays Center calendar released to neighbors has resumed indicating private events, but not their actual nature (except, maybe, if the event is a big deal).
But we now know what was listed as a private event this Saturday, March 17, from 1 to 4 pm.
It's the Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL) AA boys varsity championship, featuring South Shore High School (from Canarsie) vs. Benjamin Cardozo High School (from Bayside), preceded by the PSAL girls championships, again featuring South Shore, playing Murry Bergtraum of Manhattan.
Actually, it's not a private event, given that yesterday tickets went on sale for $12.
And it doesn't start at 1 pm but rather 9:45 am, with the second game at 11:30 am. Perhaps the planned start time had changed.
By the way, Barclays last hosted the PSAL championships in 2014; tickets were sold to the public.
