So Brownstoner is debuting the RADD Awards, "an event honoring 50 leaders in Brooklyn real estate, architecture, design, and development." And, yes, there's an awards reception on March 22 with tickets at $100 a pop.
With no capsule paragraph about the honorees, I'll just note that they include former Forest City New York CEO MaryAnne Gilmartin, now of L&L MAG, and Ryan Serhant, the broker leading the NestSeekers team selling the 550 Vanderbilt condos. (Presumably they're not be honored for the 550 Vanderbilt sales deception.) No one from Forest City is on the list.
There are a few "civilians," including reps of Preserving East New York, East Brooklyn Congregations, and the Brownsville Community Culinary Center, plus blogger Katia Kelly--and the heads of major nonprofits Prospect Park Alliance and Brooklyn Historical Society.
But many of the others might see it as a good networking event for real-estate business.
