ESDC Construction Update emerges, late and inaccurate

So, yesterday morning I wrote that, while work seemed to have resumed at the Vanderbilt Yard, the Empire State Development Corporation (ESDC) was more than a week late in its bi-weekly Construction Updates (which are created by Forest City Ratner and passed on).

Yesterday afternoon, the Construction Update for Weeks beginning May 25, 2009 and June 1, 2009 emerged, with the same information as in previous weeks:
• Rigs are on site, Block 1118, lot1 and Block 1119, lots 1, 64, in connection with soil borings that are being conducted.

However, those blocks are in the northwestern segment of the AY footprint, bounded by Flatbush Avenue, Atlantic Avenue, Pacific Street and Sixth Avenue.

Incomplete report

Work in the past two days has been going on in Blocks 1120 and 1121, the railyard blocks to the east, bounded by Sixth Avenue to the west, Vanderbilt to the east, and Atlantic and Pacific.

Work on Block 1121 is shown in the photo below, taken from the Newswalk building.

Walked by Block 118, lot 1 and Block 1119, lots 1 and 64 about an hour ago. The latest Construction Update says there are rigs on site for soil borings, but I saw none.
