From the latest Construction Update: parking stackers for expanded garage on SE block being delivered through garage entrance on Dean St. at 535 Carlton

The latest Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park Construction Update (bottom), covering the two weeks beginning Monday, Dec. 12 was circulated at 1 pm yesterday (lead time) by Empire State Development (ESD) after preparation by Greenland Forest City Partners (GFCP), which is dominated by Greenland USA.

There only a little change compared with the previous update

At the B12 & B13 sites (595 Dean St.), they've announced that deliveries of parking stackers are "scheduled to start on 12/7/22." (Is that a typo, or should that have been announced earlier? I asked, didn't hear back.)

Deliveries will utilize the B14 (535 Carlton Ave.) garage entrance to access the B12 and B13 garage, because, well, there's only one entrance. There are currently 303 spaces, and 455 more will be added, so look out for bottlenecks.

"Staging of delivery trucks will occur on Pacific Street and flagmen will be provided as required on Dean St.," according to the document. "Pedestrian traffic and bike lanes on Dean St. will not be impacted."

Also, they've ramped up work inside:

Interior finish trades work ongoing including taping and spackling of sheetrock, sanding, prime and finish painting, installation of ceramic tile, stone and countertops, LVT flooring and fit out of plumbing trim and electrical devices in apts. and amenity spaces. Architectural woodwork installation in various amenity spaces and main lobby, gallery and outdoor terrace areas.

Platform work may start

For some six months, they've suggested that the preparatory stage of platform work--crucial to three of the six towers over the Vanderbilt Yard--will finally start, but it still requires, as stated, permits to constrain sidewalk access and traffic around the block bounded by Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Street and by Sixth and Carlton Avenues.

That's the first block of platform work. There's no evidence anything is happening.

After-hours work continues; again incorrect

Regarding after-hours work at B12 & B13 on the southeast block, the document accurately says there's a variance for work to start at 6 am on weekdays.

It also says "Saturday work from 9 AM – 5 PM will continue." Today's variance, as with the past months, is for 9 am to 5:30 pm.

That continues a pattern.  They--GFCP and site developer TF Cornerstone--just don't care about getting it right. Nor does the state authority ESD.
