Last-minute announcement: second shift and overnight work at railyard this week

At 5:38 pm yesterday--i.e., the last minute--Empire State Development circulated a Supplement to the 4/1/19 two-week update:
LIRR Yard Activities – Night/Weekend Work
● LIRR is working 2nd shift for Track 6 & 7 third rail installation tonight (April 5, 2019) and possibly Monday (April 8, 2019) and Tuesday (April 9, 2019). Construction lights will be used as necessary.
● The Project Team and LIRR will install the Permanent Drill Track during Overnight hours on April 10, 2019 and into second shift hours on April 11, 2019. Construction lights will be used as necessary.
● The Project Team and LIRR currently have no plans of using the B12 lot for staging during this activity, unless deemed necessary.
In other words, there may be bright lights through the second shift Monday and Tuesday, presumably until midnight, in the eastern block of the railyard, where the third rail is located.

There will be lights and most likely noise on Wednesday night overnight and through the second shift on Thursday.

The drill track is located at the B4 parcel, at the northeast corner of the arena block.

As to using the B12 lot--which is approximately mid-block along Dean Street between Carlton and Vanderbilt avenues, not using it for staging, "unless deemed necessary," leaves a lot of wiggle room. Last-minute use for staging has been disruptive.
