This watchdog blog, by journalist Norman Oder, offers analysis, commentary, and reportage about the $4.9B project to build the Barclays Center arena and 15-16 towers at a crucial site in Brooklyn. Dubbed Atlantic Yards by developer Forest City Ratner in 2003, it was rebranded Pacific Park Brooklyn in 2014 after the Chinese government-owned Greenland Group bought a 70% stake going forward. As of 2018, after the arena and four towers were built, Greenland will own 95% of future construction.

OK, now there will be overnight work for three nights at Flatbush and Dean
This is bizarre.
A day after circulating a Community Notice regarding the closure of a lane on Dean Street during daytime sewer work tomorrow, May 11, Pacific Park Brooklyn now tells us that overnight work will require the partial closure of one travel lane at Dean and adjacent Flatbush Avenue.
This work is expected to occur during the overnight hours (3 nights) from 10 pm to 6 am, according to DOT permits.
It's unclear why they could not have circulated the notice a day earlier or, if a permit request was pending, why it was not mentioned in the Construction Update issued yesterday.
