If you visit the web site of
Forest City Enterprises, parent of Forest City Ratner, the spotlight is on
"Grand Openings at Tobacco Row", where "Cutters Ridge ā an all-new, for-lease townhome project; and Edgeworth ā distinctive Class A office space that offers unrivaled views, amenities, comforts and attention to detail" have joined warehouse buildings already renovated into residential and retail.
At the
Press Room page, we learn that "Sustainability is an integral part of Forest City's core values." The page points to a
significant record in sustainable development, especially the Stapleton development in Denver. As I
noted, the
planned demolition of the Ward Bread Bakery in Brooklyn seems at odds with the company's professed values.
