At Barclays Center plaza, a DoorDash Nets experience yesterday for locals--while the elevator to transit hub remains on the fritz

Hey, remember the ambiguous plan, disclosed to community members by Barclays Center community relations staff earlier this month, of a "MID TO LATE JUNE PARTNER PLAZA ACTIVATION," lasting from approximately 11 am to 7 pm?

I wrote that it was presumably a commercial takeover of the privately controlled, publicly accessible space, the Resorts World Casino NYC plaza, in concert with the Nets' playoff run--or, perhaps, a commemoration of the season.

Well, the playoff run is over, and yesterday at 11:27 the Barclays Center announced the DoorDash Nets experience, offering games, merch, and--unmentioned--$15 gift cards.
That said, as the tweeted photo shows, as well as my photos below, the event took up a fraction of the plaza, mostly under the oculus, and when I got there shortly after 5 pm, it was relatively sparsely attended.
As the photo below shows, the plaza now offers three layers of advertising messages: one from the oculus, another from LED signage over the entrance doors, and another layer inside the building.

It should be noted that, while the area operator is reaping revenue from the plaza, the often-faulty elevator (maintained by the arena company) offering crucial access to the transit hub below, is again on the fritz, with repairs planned "through July 2021." Maybe this is the long-promised "full overhaul"?

In the background to the right below, the former Triangle Sports building, which once had a James Harden ad and perhaps was being prepped for something Nets-related and got partial DoorDash wrapping at street level, is still mostly blank.

Interestingly enough, some hard-working DoorDash delivery guys parked their bikes on the plaza and perhaps got a respite and some swag.
