Announcing start of playoff calendar, Barclays Center cites plan for "partner plaza activation" mid-June. A commercial takeover for Nets' title run?
Yesterday the Barclays Center circulated a June Community Notice (below) for events, including Brooklyn Nets playoff games against the Milwaukee Bucks tonight and Monday June 7, both starting at 7:30 pm, with gates opening two hours early.
Note the ambiguous plan of a "MID TO LATE JUNE PARTNER PLAZA ACTIVATION," lasting from 11 am to 7 pm. Presumably that's a commercial takeover of the privately controlled, publicly accessible space, the Resorts World Casino NYC plaza, in concert with the Nets' playoff run--or, perhaps, a commemoration of the season.
If necessary, a potential Game 5 and Game 7 would be held at Barclays, and an updated Community Notice will be sent. (While the Community Notice doesn't mention the dates, the Nets' ticketing platform cites June 15 and June 19.)
Of course, if the Nets go to the Eastern Conference finals, and then to the league finals, there will be more notices.
