In another stage of arena revamp, Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment plans to replace Qatar Airways Club with new space
I already cited the press release from Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, Jan. 16, Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment Announces Reimagined Premium Event-level Experience at Barclays Center, in my other coverage today about BSE, but let's capture the full press release and a few highlights.
First, the claimed investment to revamp arena spaces is now up to $140 million, after long being said to be $100 million--even in a document I cited today.
"Spanning more than 9,000 square feet and accommodating 360 members, the space is inspired by the layered evolution of DUMBO, where industrial roots meet modern refinement," the announcement states.
BROOKLYN – Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment today announced plans for an updated premium, event-level hospitality space set to open at Barclays Center at the start of the Brooklyn Nets 2026–27 season. This club renovation kicks off phase three of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment’s ongoing, multi-year $140 million investment to reimagine and modernize the arena experience for fans.
Building on the recently unveiled transformation of the arena’s West End, the updated club will further elevate Barclays Center’s premium offerings by delivering an immersive, design-forward environment that connects fans more closely to the game, the players, and Brooklyn’s culture.
Spanning more than 9,000 square feet and accommodating 360 members, the space is inspired by the layered evolution of DUMBO, where industrial roots meet modern refinement. Exposed steel trusses, brick, and concrete form the foundation of the space, while elevated finishes and thoughtful detailing create a sophisticated yet unmistakably Brooklyn atmosphere.
“At Barclays Center, we continue to invest in spaces that reflect Brooklyn’s identity while redefining what premium fan experiences can be,” said Shanon Ferguson, Chief Hospitality Officer, Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment. “As part of the third phase of our $140 million transformation, this space will bring fans closer to the action than ever before—through its design, its culinary program, and its unparalleled proximity to the game.”
A defining feature of the club is its premium culinary experience, highlighted by interactive show kitchens—the only club in the arena where guests can watch their meals prepared in real time. The club will offer a diverse selection of food stations, including carving stations, sushi, kosher offerings, and elevated takes on classic arena favorites. A dedicated pizza oven will serve hot, freshly made pizza, celebrating the Brooklyn staple known around the world.
Beyond dining, the reimagined club will deliver rare behind-the-scenes access that blurs the line between fan and team. Members will enjoy views of the Brooklyn Nets players as they enter and exit the locker room area on their way to the court, as well as access to the practice court, creating a uniquely intimate connection to the game-day experience.
A dramatic 94-foot LED board, stretching the full length of the club, will immerse guests in live game action and arena atmosphere without requiring them to leave the space. Additional premium amenities will include a dedicated coat check, private gender-neutral restrooms, and thoughtfully designed seating and social areas throughout.
Renovation work for this project will be led by architects at Populous and construction management by Shawmut Design and Construction.
Club memberships are available to Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty full and partial season ticket holders, with the space also available for private rentals for select events.
This updated experience represents the next chapter in Barclays Center’s ongoing evolution, reinforcing Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment’s commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and creating unforgettable experiences for fans, partners, and the Brooklyn community.

While the space at the western end of the arena would replace what's now called the Qatar Airways Club, that (expiring, departing) sponsor goes unmentioned. Surely there will be a new one.

Well, they've invoked "brownstone" before, so they're just doubling down. Except the heritage of DUMBO is anchored in history.
This is not about the ordinary fan but the high rollers, as the club--sponsor name to be named later--offers
- a premium culinary experience, with kitchens visible
- views of the Brooklyn Nets players as they enter and exit the locker room area on their way to the court, as well as access to the practice court
- a "dramatic 94-foot LED board"
