From the latest Construction Alert: overnight deliveries start March 14 of sections of railyard employee building
According to the latest Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park Construction Alert (bottom), issued Friday (appropriate lead time) for the two weeks beginning Monday, March 14, overnight deliveries of building sections of an LIRR Employee Building are expected to begin during the week of March 21 via Pacific Street and Vanderbilt Avenue, with building assembly during the day at the Vanderbilt Yard.
Additionally, "Installation of the substation equipment may require overnight, extended weekday work hours, and/or weekend hours to complete." No hours were stated.
While the previous alert noted after-hours sewer connection work will occur along Dean Street near Sixth Avenue for the B3 (38 Sixth Avenue) site at the southeast corner of the arena block, the new alert states that sewer connection work, which began March 8, will be done normal work day hours and is expected to take 2 weeks. It may require temporary closures of portions of the sidewalk for safety reasons.
Saturday work may continue at B2 (461 Dean Street), B3, and B14 (535 Carlton). There could be weeknight work at B14 until 9 pm. Also, there will be weekend work in the Long Island Rail Road tunnel and rail yard. Hours were not reported.
