The Brooklyn Paper once offered steady, tough coverage of Atlantic Yards. That's tailed off, and now Atlantic Yards coverage in the paper seems trumped by some more anodyne copy.
It's not quite advertorial, nor is it marked as such, but it's advertiser-friendly copy: competent, but hardly investigatory (closer to "celebrating," as promised) mini-profiles of Brooklyn neighborhoods, sponsored by the Barclays Center.
The Sept. 13 issue addressed Park Slope. The Sept. 20 issue addressed Williamsburg. The Sept. 27 issue addressed Fort Greene & Clinton Hill. The Oct. 4 issue addressed Sheepshead Bay.
There are a lot of neighborhoods to go.
