From a New York Times article today headlined 1,000 Days Left for Bloomberg, All of Them on His Own Terms:
The administration’s unfinished agenda includes mass transit construction, including the extension of the Flushing Line to the Far West Side; creating or preserving (or at least financing and finding sites for) 125,000 more homes and tens of thousands of classrooms, improving the power supply, reclaiming underused contaminated land, opening the waterfront and harbor to recreation, rezoning for housing and commercial development in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn, enacting a new building code and advancing projects like Brooklyn Bridge Park, a recreation area at the former Fresh Kills landfill and development of the Atlantic Yards in Brooklyn.
(Emphasis added)
Well, the Times has stopped describing Atlantic Yards as the fruit of a rezoning. Nor is it calling it a reconstruction project. But Atlantic Yards is the name of a project, not a place, and the term "the Atlantic Yards" remains inaccurate.
