For playoffs, as of May 19 arenas like Barclays Center can go to 25% capacity. But that won't save concert tours.

As of May 19, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced yesterday, "Spectator capacity will increase to 25 percent at large-scale arenas and event venues, including professional and collegiate sports, and major performances."

While that's good for sports teams at Barclays Center, Madison Square Garden, and Nassau Coliseum, all bound for the playoffs, gate admissions are only part of their revenue picture.

The new regulation will not rescue tours of musical acts, which depend on admissions, so it's hardly clear that announced events will actually go forward.
