Thursday meeting: ESD to accept and approve Atlantic Yards Final SEIS

According to a notice just posted by Empire State Development, the state authority on Thursday at 11:30 a.m will accept and approve the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (Final SEIS), which presumably includes responses to the extensive public and written comments about issues like affordable housing delays, construction oversight, and general project governance.

Additional board materials may be posted tomorrow, which would make it easier for those commenting to have something relevant to say.

It's never in doubt that the board, controlled by the governor, will approve an Atlantic Yards measure, though in March one board member approved the Draft SEIS "with reservations," after hearing community members describe the disturbing impact of construction.
