Work at the B2 tower site will continue to begin at 5:30 am weekdays and last to 11 pm, according to latest bi-weekly Construction Alert, (bottom) dated July 8 but issued yesterday by Empire State Development after preparation by Forest City Ratner.
That assumes approval by the Department of Buildings (DOB), which I assume has been granted (as in past weeks) but is not noted in the alert.

The alert reports on continued installation of reinforcement steel for foundation walls, which may be done on a second shift, subject to DOB approval.
The alert notes continued concrete pours:
• Pouring concrete foundation walls will continue during this reporting period. This activity will be take place approximately every 2-3 days during the reporting period. The day of the pour there will be 8-12 concrete trucks delivering to the site during the course of the day. A separate logistics plan has been submitted and approved by the OEM for this work.New work and unspecified changes
Installation of the ConEd vaults will commence during this reporting period. Alterations to the existing MPT will be required and will be subject to OCMC approval.MPT means maintenance and protection of traffic, so traffic flow on Dean Street will be altered somewhat, though the alert does not explain.
LIRR work
Also, pile drilling in the Long Island Rail Road yard was noted as completed in the previous alert, so that should mean less disruption for neighbors.
