DBNA's Community Tickets Program holds anniversary event, honoring Ratner; reopens applications to nonprofit groups
The Downtown Brooklyn Neighborhood Alliance (DBNA) has begun the second-year of its Community Tickets Program, where Brooklyn-based nonprofit organizations can get free tickets to Barclays Center events, part of the Atlantic Yards Community Benefits Agreement (CBA).
Here's the application. (I'll have a longer report on the tickets program shortly, but here's an earlier one.)
Note that a year ago, the DBNA sent out a press release and got some press coverage regarding the eligibility of community organizations to get free tickets. This year, there's been less outreach, though the information has been available on their web site.
One-year anniversary
The DBNA, which is funded by Forest City Ratner, is also holding its one-year anniversary sweepstakes event on Thursday at the Ronald Edmonds Learning Center. The event will honor Forest City Ratner Chair Bruce Ratner.
Only enrolled organizations are eligible to receive tickets.
