Well, the latest issue of Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz's promotional Brooklyn!! newspaper is out and, as in the past, Atlantic Yards gets short shrift: I couldn't find a mention. (It's not online yet, but here are past issues.)However, as the snapshot at right suggests, there was an opportunity. According to the caption, hip-hop star Kanye West "performed at the Brooklyn Museum's Brooklyn Ball, celebrating the opening of artist Takashi Murakami's retrospective." Unmentioned: the guest of honor was Atlantic Yards developer Bruce Ratner, and the event provoked a forceful protest.
