Bright lights in rail yard overnight Tuesday and Thursday; three more nights coming

A Community Notice from Pacific Park Brooklyn indicates that there will be work in the Long Island Rail Road's Vanderbilt Yard between the 6th Avenue and Carlton Avenue Bridges during the overnight hours on approximately five nights over the next two weeks.

The first two scheduled nights are Tuesday, August 16 and Thursday, August 18. These dates are subject to change due to coordination with LIRR activities and additional dates may be required.

This work must be completed during off peak hours when there is minimal train traffic in the tunnel and will require the use of LIRR Yard lighting for safety reasons.

Unmentioned: bright lights can intrude on neighbors.
