Permanent Changes to the Roadway Network on Carlton Avenue and Pacific Street
Beginning on or around September 24, 2013
Work taking place along the south wall of the LIRR yard between Pacific Street & Carlton Avenue is expected to be completed by September 23, 2013. As a result, beginning on September 24, 2013, the following permanent changes will be made to the roadway network:
Pacific Street (between Carlton Avenue and Sixth Avenue) will re-open to two-way vehicular traffic and parking along the north side of Pacific Street will be restored. MPT that is currently in place will be removed, allowing the reopening of the north sidewalk.
Advisory signs will be posted in advance of the changes.

This is actually faster than predicted, since the MPT (maintenance and protection of traffic)  was supposed to be in place until October.
